I have lymphyedema in both legs, feet. I was wrongly diagnosed when I first had extreme swelling, infection in one leg. I was told I had phlebitis? spelling? therefore that is what I was treated for each time I would have a new infection. Also they tried to do a vena gram each time, which I now understand made the lymphedema worse. This went on for 28 years before I was correctly diagosed with lymphedema. I now do the massage and wrap therapy at night and wear the compression stockings during the day. My new problem is I recently had a knee replacement surgery and the swelling has gotten much worse. Is there any new treatments that I can do now, that I may not know about? My job requires a considerable amount of sitting, which makes swelling worse. Would appreciate any input I can get. Thank you!!!
